Fall harvest and fence prep

This week we harvested everything that was left in the garden and began preparing it for the winter. We found an abundance of beans of all varieties, and even a few peanuts! We then began to cut down the plants, laying a large portion of them down in the beds too that the nutrients nutrients can go back into the ground and enrich the soil.

Since the threat of deer and critters is low this time of year after harvest, we began the ambitious project of tearing down the old fence and installing a new one. It has been a long time coming and we are both nervous and excited for this big project.
